Exhibition Society Acts—Version 2. After Moderna Exhibition, contemporary art center Kim?, Riga, Latvia, March 7—April 19, 2015. Curator: Andreas Nilsson, co-curator: Maija Rudovska, assistant curator: Julia Björnberg.
The exhibition is a new iteration of the exhibition Society Acts that took place in the Moderna Museet, Malmö, Sweden. The Malmö exhibition featured several of Dzividzinska’s photographs (vintage prints) from the series Riga Pantomime (1964-66). For the Riga exhibition, co-curator Maija Rudovska selected a previously never exhibited and unique material: one of Dzividzinska’s contact sheet books from the 1960s. The book, dated 1965, was on view in a display case while digital reproductions of all its pages were available for browsing via a touchscreen interface.
