Artist Sophie Thun and curator Zane Onckule visit the archive

Vienna-based artist Sophie Thun and curator Zane Onckule visited the Art Days Forever archive to view some of Zenta Dzividzinska’s prints, negatives, and memorabilia on April 21, 2021.

The archive visit is part of the research and preparation for Sophie Thun’s forthcoming solo exhibition at the Kim? Contemporary Art Center, Riga, currently scheduled to be on view July 23 – September 12, 2021 (dates tbc depending on the COVID-19 situation and related restrictions in Latvia).

In the exhibition, co-produced by Phileas, Sophie Thun “will engage with the extensive archive of Latvian photographer Zenta Dzividzinska to produce and exhibition [. . .] that reviews the work of this overlooked female artist within the context of her own practice as a contemporary female photographer,” according to an earlier announcement by Phileas.
