Curator Maria Garth talks about photographs by Zenta Dzividzinska in a Zimmerli Art Museum talk, “Zimmerli Art After Hours: Women on View,” on March 2, 2021.

In this talk, Maria Garth, the Graduate Curatorial Assistant (Dodge Fellow) at the Zimmerli, introduces her forthcoming exhibition, “Communism Through the Lens: Everyday Life Captured by Women Photographers in the Dodge Collection” that will be on view virtually from May 1 to October 17, 2021.

According to the museum information, “This upcoming exhibition of rarely seen images explores how women in the Soviet Union used photography to reflect on politics, art, gender, and everyday life in the communist state.”
